·      Analysis of mode of address, elaborate and restricted code
·      Formatting and layout analysis sheet
·      Three act script analysis; narrative structure examples
·      Comparison of fiction and non-fiction script

Main task:
·      Analysis of two example scripts from TV, Film, Radio and Video Games that reflects on all of the above areas

Ideas – Story Pitch
·      Use the sheet provided to outline the basic details and full content of your story and characters
·      Pitch the idea and reflect on the feedback provided by peers
·      Produce detailed target audience outline: demographic/psychometric, imaginary entity text
·      Conduct quantitative and qualitative research into your identified audience and summarise results

Plan
·      Finalise and write up the full details of your story idea with reference to how your pitch feedback and audience research contributed to decisions made
M1 (part 1)
Explain conventions to be used
·      You are writing a film script. Explain what conventions you will be using to do this (cover everything, even if it feels like stating the obvious)

Full Draft
·      Write the full script for your short film using the required conventions.
M1 (part 2)
Review use of conventions
·       Annotate a copy of your final script, explaining where and how you have used conventions

Evaluate final script
·      Respond to feedback given
·      Reflect on how well it meets the brief
·      Evaluate how effective the script is as a pre-production document (consider who will be using it and what for)
